You’ll Get Yours by Dios (Malos)

I was a big fan of Dios’ EP Los Arboles. The songs seemed pretty epic and timeless. Good use of percussion as accents instead of a “given”.

Dios had to add “Malos” to their name after this EP because of copyright conflicts with other band names. Their LP had some gems but could’ve been an EP2 if they filtered out some of the weaker tunes.

They had a residency in Silverlake this Fall. Too bad I missed it. I did catch them opening for Fiery Furnaces a few years ago in DC. The lead singer is a beast (above) and stood on the side of the stage instead of the standard front/middle position.

UK artist Bullion chops up the greatest album ever recorded to J Dilla’s beats. It’s called Pet Sounds: In The Key Of Dee.

He also pulls in session chats and outakes from the 40th Anniversary edition, as well as some samples of PS covers.

I’ve always loved this song for the melody, double bassline, and lyrics (yeah, I pay attention sometimes).

the way i see it, yes on prop 8 is similar to saying “hey, if you’re a [minority] you can’t vote. you can submit your ‘civil opinion’, but we won’t call it a “vote” we’ll call it a ‘civil opinion’. because you’re a [minority]”

I think this band from Barce will blow up stateside with the altbros and tuggles. Definitely danceable. Definitely carefree. Definitely impossible to find mp3s of.
