I Want You Back (Z-Trip Remix) by Michael Jackson

It always happens in threes.
I like this version better than the original.
- the guitar line is highlighted more
- the drumbeat is more aggresive
- MJ’s voice still rocks

birds in the air
never chirped the same
slobs in bowling alleys
never burped the same
they came to cry
shocked with disbelief
a broken mass of millions
all drowning in their grief
she was just an innocent
how could you lord?
they cried the day
that farrah fawcett died
Throughout the globe
every chinese man and turk
their unifying symbol
they really liked her work
but who’s to blame?
no one made a move
until i find out who did this
nobody leaves the room
they say the road was icy
but that just don’t add up
a bushy-haired intruder
another government cover up!
a drug-related overdose
a hunting accident
death at the hands of another,
i’ll bet!
first JFK
and then we lost the king
thank god it must be over now
they say they come in threes
but still i ache
the world has lost a friend
i’ll trade all
of my viewmaster reels
to see her once again

Alla Vill Ha Hela Världen by Jonathan Johansson

Yeah. That’s right. “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” by Tears for Fears covered in Swedish. Life is good.
If you think this cover is cool, you should hear this guy’s originals. Smooth and icey.
Cult Logic by Miike Snow

Everyone is loving Miike Snow and that makes sense to me.
What I don’t understand is why this song isn’t the one being posted, remixed, or placed in mixtapes (e.g., “Animal” or “Black & Blue”). Give it time.
The opening few seconds could be a new Radiohead song. The vocal effect on the chorus really hammers home the melody.
Damn Swedes did it again.

There was this Greek kid in college that had this short film on some boxset compliation DVD. He bought the entire boxset just for this film.
It is black and white stills with a narrator. I don’t want to ruin it, but I’ll just say my favorite part of the movie is around 17:40.
Be sure to click the HD button and watch this film without distractions.
Then go watch 12 Monkeys. Luckily I was able to watch La Jetee first. Both are great.
Considering the medium used and the year released, La Jetee is one of the most powerful films I’ve seen.

You know it’s good when you’d buy it on vinyl. Half way there with this list:
- Dan Deacon - Bromst
- Faunts - Feel.Love.Thinking.Of.
- Dirty Projectors - Bitte Orca
- The Whitest Boy Alive - Rules
- Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
Keep it on the DL Hughley, but you can get these here for promotional use only. See these folks live, buy their wax and merch.

This kid will have issues later in life.
Etsy is pretty awesome. It’s a market place to buy and sell handmade products. Like boutique store meets ebay. Currently they are pushing Father’s Day items.
Here are some that I liked:
