Baby Let’s Swing/The Last Thing You Said/Don’t Tie My Hands by Todd Rundgren
I’m pretty sure you could dedicate an entire blog to this guy. The albums he’s produced, his first band (Nazz, from Philadelphia), his chart topping 70’s hits, his track record with the birds (Liv thought he was her dad for over a decade), his humble approach to a super group in the 80’s (Utopia), his pioneer work on the digital music front— it’s too much to handle.
You can’t shop at CVS without hearing “I Saw The Light” or “Hello It’s Me” playing the background.
In a perfect world he would be married to Karen Carpenter and they’d be making duet albums like Plant and Krauss.
The posted song has three parts. But it’s not like “Happiness Is A Warm Gun” or “Paranoid Android”. The parts are completely different songs but somehow it works out well. I’m really into the opening verse of the first part when he talks about this girl, Laura, and how he saw her in LA. Apparently Todd dominated the strip back in the 70’s and 80’s. In Motley Crue’s tagteam autobiography, The Dirt, they mention how Todd taught them how to do it right.

When Is Pearl Harbor Day? - Sunday’s Best
The music is pretty light and poppy, but the lyrics are kinda sad. Always liked it.
The band is basically the main dudes from The Little Ones. I had no idea for years. Weird.
The picture above is something a Buzznet user took.
BONUS\\ Crystal Castles remix of a The Little Ones song

Ready for the Floor by Lissy Trullie (Hot Chip Cover)
Lissy Trullie is a model and a musician. Everyone is saying how hot she is but I’m more impressed with her chimey guitar riffs and her unique voice than her Laura Pepron looks.
Almost a year ago to the day (Feb 7, 2008) I posted Hot Chip playing their new single “Ready for the Floor” on Kimmel. Trullie’s cover breaks it down into a raw energetic pop gem.
Barry Obammy Nails Ginger Cat with Snowball
